How I Spent The New Year: A Drama in Five Acts.
I had big plans for posting to this blog over break...but somewhere along the way liquor stepped in and side tracked me just a wee bit...so I'm giving you the abbreviated, edited version of what my night was like...
Act 1: Sangria. (7:30 pm)
The little sister and friends came into the city for a night of good, clean, drinking bud light out of a nalgene, night of under aged hijinx. As a "sorry you can't come to the bar with us" consolation prize, the g-bomb and I brought them out for mexican, where we promptly began drinking heavily.
Act 2: Sangria(!?) and Beer. (9:00 pm)
After making walrus tusks with our straws, the children, g-bomb, and I packed into a few cabs and made our way to the mean streets of Allston Rock City to my dearest C's house. There we partook of her attempts at sangria making courtesy of the blender she received for Christmas. Shortly thereafter The Resetar arrived and even further illicit activity ensues...here's where it starts to get hazy for Ms. EH.
Act 3: Gays and More Beer. (Midnight)
Having missed the ball drop because of the heinous line outside of the club (a club which we had PRE-ordered tickets to in order to avoid this mess in the first place) it wasn't surprising that our grand night out ended about 45 minutes after it began. While being surrounded by middle aged gay men is probably SOMEONE'S idea of a good time...it's not mine. At least, not on New Years Eve and not when they aren't my fabulous uncles and co. So the lesbians high tailed it back to Allston for...
Act 4: 22 Oz. of Freedom. (1:00 am)
Since Brubakers are twice the size of normal bottled beer, our visit to Our House West concluded with my drink count crossing the double digit marker.
Act 5: Burst Blood Vessels in my Eye (3:00 am - 1:00 pm)
...the end. I'm too classy for words.
